Really stupid question.

You'd think I hadn't been farming all my life with this one.

I have a JD9500. I do wheat and beans and usually a 40 or so of milo as feed additive. All with a 922 flex header.

I am able to pick up a JD95 for literally a couple hundred dollars. Nothing wrong with it - daughter is getting rid of dads estate. The 95 has a three row corn head on it. I thought I might just grow a 40 of corn to keep me from needing to buy it off friends during harvest.

Can I run milo with a corn head? My first thought is no since the feeder house has much larger tolerances. I just don't know. We have always grown milo and straight cut it.

i would just use a rigid on the 95, if you have down milo you can put the wheat fingers on it to pick it up. thats what we have done. BUT...does your 95 have the updated feeder house? The first of that whole series had the feeder house that detached with the head. There are upgrade kits that you can get to update and keep the feeder house on the machine, more like a conventional later model machine. Swapping heads on the old machines is a PITA...till you get used to it ha!

there is a guy up around tongie that has a 1 or 2 parts 45's and 95's i think.
