With the talk about Du Farmsabit's Oliver 33 project combine heres a picture I found of a 33 Oliver at work in
Nebraska.....Oliver 33 combines aren't real common.....Its lots easier to find a 35 or 40 Oliver....

How many on here own a 33 Oliver? Roger don't you have a couple of them? In all of my travels I've only
found 2 of them..

The engine on those is in a more strange place than the old Masseys. At least underneath it was in line with the transmission and stuff. I sure would have loved to be able to stand up and work on the combine engine, though!!

1206, when are you going to find me a nice super 92???

About 7-8 years ago a guy at Ransom,KS had two nice Super 92's in a shed....I can't remember his name but maybe I can find it...They may have went to a collection in Oklahoma...There should be some Super 92's in central and western Kansas...There just aren't any in my part of the country..

Check the link below....Keep watching it or place a want ad...It covers lots of central and western Kansas...

Oliver, Case, and IH mounted the engine like that so they could use existing tractor components for the drivetrain. IH actually used components from their truck line. It was a cheap and dirty solution from an engineering standpoint but made for less inefficient power transfer. And all them first generation combines were underpowered to begin with.
