White 704n corn head on an IH 1460

I thought I read somewhere that a white head will fit on an IH combine, is this true?

Im looking at buying a 1460 with a 17.5 1020 head but it doesn't come with a corn head.

My old White 7300 is pretty well worn out but the head is still usable.

Google Bish head adapters. I assume they are still in business, they made adapters to put any kind of head on a different combine.

Built my own adapter to put a JD 643 on my 1640 Case-IH.......

ok maybe I dreamt that. Ive looked at Bish before and they don't list anything that old. I looked at the 1460 and it LOOKS the same as the white but I didn't get a measurements on it.

I have actually picked up and moved a White header with a 1440, the way I remember the drives don't line up, so there would be some modification required. The angle between the sickle bar and the feeder house is different so while a belt pickup header from a White will work on the IH a wheat header not so well I don't know how that would affect a corn header. I don't have any actual experience with this, just from taking to someone who upgraded from 8900 Whites to 2188 Case IH and used his old headers.

We run a 963 IH head on our white 9700. We had to make an adapter for it and we run a 1000 pto shaft with modified coplers on it for the drive
