sure there is value, some people still use them on small farms. few youtube videos of them working. sounds like it could be a real nice original , may be better off kept original. but yes people restore combines.

I gave 1100 for mine with a 13ft grain table plus the 2 and 3 row corn heads for it. Nice 525's are getting harder to come by so yes it is worth saving. Most guys I know prefer them in their work cloths if they are clean originals. Ive got a few videos of mine running on youtube.

If it's not running there value is scrap price but running they could go from $500 to probably $2500 for a nice one. Where are u located?

Looking at the 542 picture, it is interesting that they put the unloading auger way back. They could have put a piece of LH and RH flighting on the cross auger to put the unloading auger exactly right behind the front tire. I do not know how you can unfold that auger, since it folds the wrong way!
It is so much easier on any other combine to pull a string to get the auger to go.

Hey
I agree
I have a twin to that one in the minny 3496
They could have improved a lot of things
You can't see auger from the seat very well
You would think they could have noticed that
Oh well
I'm more interested in the 525

Oh wow that's quite a buy out. The 2-135 is still worth 8-16,000 depending on condition. Not really in my area but a lot of people still use those in the field so that helps the value

that was my dads first self propelled combine 2 row corn head. had good luck with it. i am looking for Oliver
2150mfwd with continental cab. none of those in the shed is there.

hi I'm new to this forum thing to, have a question that might not be totally related only in the way that it's about a combine. we have a early 1950's massey harris super 26 that had a bin put on many years ago but other wise is original and has always been under cover and still is now. did not know if someone out there had any idea of what it may be worth as we would like to sell it. any info or ideas would be apprechated, thanks.

If it doesn't run unfortunately it's worth scrap. Running probably a grand. The trouble with old combines is there hard to move around like to shows and stuff and so there's not much demand. I'd post it here on yt mag for like $500 and see if anyone wants it then atleast it wouldn't go to junk

when it was parked in the spot it's at now it was running that was about 22 years ago the water drained so that's not a issue and I am quit sure with a battery bit of gas and new oil it would be running

I just got an Oliver 525 running this past summer that had been sitting for 22 years also and after that long u just have to replace plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, points, and condenser. And rebuild the carb too
