Massey Ferguson Super 35

I just purchased this Super 35 and the sticker on the corn head says 238. I can't find any manuals on a 238 head. It was used as a test plot machine and reconditioned about 20 years age.

I wonder if the 238 doesn't mean 2 row 38"? Definitely an unusual looking machine. Why is there no grain bin? Can you tell us some history about it.?

That's a cool find! There is a chemical company down the road from my dads place that has a massy plot harvester that is probably 10 years old. I never knew massy made plot combines until seeing that one now yours

I might be wrong but I think that is a Gleaner corn head and they did make a 238(I think,it has been a long time since I was around Gleaners). Tom

That is a gleaner model 238 corn head painted red , i'd love to see how they mounted that on the massey 35 , I used to own a 35 and I now own a 1977 gleaner K2 with a 12 ft floating bean head , 10 ft straight grain head and a 238 corn head , I would hardly think that the little massey 35 would have enough power to do much corn

After a quick Google search I believe you are correct in that being a gleaner head. I will take close up pictures of how it is mounted tomorrow.

No- lower right rear you see a round tube that the row units are welded onto. Black head has a square tube where the row units are clamped on, so the row spacing can be changed.

It sure looks like the Gleaner 238 corn head that was on Dads 1967 E Gleaner.....I have a 22 Massey corn head to fit my 35 Massey...

It is a 238 Gleaner head that has been adapted to the Massey. It has also been narrowed to 30". I will post pictures of the head and modifications as soon as the weather clears
