I purchased a 525 Oliver combine in May of 2015. It was bought from the estate of the original owner including three heads and the original parts book and owners manual. Included in the purchase were two corn heads, a 512 and 522, plus the grain head. All was stored inside in the hay loft of a steel roofed barn. The grain head was outside under some trees and behind a grain bin. For setting outside for perhaps thirty years, it is in decent shape, except for the wood parts of the reel. New white oak wood will be included in the reel restoration. It didn't take long to get the engine running. I have pulled the battery and drained the radiator and block for the winter, will work on the reel if weather permits. All pieces are in the shed now, all grain head parts are lose including the auger. Several guards and a couple of sickle sections need to be replaced. Is it possible to use bolt-on sickle sections? I didn't take time to check that out. I have pictures of the day we brought it home. Funny thing, it was only 4.5 miles from home. When things have not been seen for years on a farm, we tend to forget about them. My nephew purchased a Cletrac D from the same estate. I don't know where another head or combine would be located.

Unfortunately you are going to have a rough row to hoe on this search. Corn heads arent to terrible to find but good grain tables are like finding hens teeth. Ive been looking for a better one for my 525 for 7 years with no luck. We finally decided we are going to get a feeder house off of a 7300 and narrow it up to fit a 525 so I can run a White Quick Switch head.

Hey oliverkid
I figured it might be tough in my area but I didn't think it would be this hard
I haven't done any measuring but I have case and Deere and IH heads
Maybe some are the same width
Thanks and good luck

About 8-9 years ago I looked at a nice 2890 MM and a 525 Oliver parts combine near Avilla,MO....Both still had
the grain heads on them..In fact the 2890 had been shedded for all of its life and had just recently taken out of
the shed...Its the 1st picture and you can see the Oliver to the left..The owner was real old back then....His son
used to be the White dealer at Lockwood,MO..

The 2nd picture shows a 525 Oliver and a 2890 MM that sold on a farm sale in July 2007 near Hume,MO....The
MM had no header and sold for less than $100 with a rebuilt engine..You can see it to the left..I think the 525
brought $400-500..There were lots of belts for it in a pile..

oh wow if either of those combines came up for sale at that price id buy them! are the combines in the first picture still around and are they for sale?

I have no idea if they are still around yet...They were located 60 miles south of me....I think that he wanted $600
for the 2890 MM and less for the 525 Oliver parts combine...That would have been in 2006 or 2007 and the
owner was old..
