Had mice chew through part of the harness on our 9500 before harvest started this fall. Always blow it off really good and have never had problems before. What do you fellas like to use to keep them away in the off season?

moth balls in the cab, above the cab by the ac unit and access panels that i can take off and put them in and close back up. use about 12 boxes a year.

If the machine is stored inside, removal of any access panel that will let light in helps.

Mice like darkness.

We always put plenty of bar bait in the cab and engine compartments hoping that they will eat on that and not the wiring. On the bait on the engine compartment, we tie it with wire or zip ties in case of any packrats. If you tie the bait down, the packrats won't carry it away to their nests, but will eat it there. I believe that 100%.

We also put a small tray with antifreeze on the floor of the cab for them to drink. Knock on wood, in all the years we have not had any wiring issues by mice. Prolly just jinxed myself...lol!

as mentioned take of the shield, clean it up good. i use moth balls and bounce dryer sheets. so far so good with that combo.
some people will put flashing around their tires as well. i like to start mine once a month through the year. just keep an eye on
the radiator for a coon.

I've always used Just One Bite brand mouse and rat food, comes in big blocks about the color of peanut butter, they love it and they won't stink after they die.

I have not tried this yet . I am this fall.

Clean up well and spray the inside of the thrashing area with diesel fuel and oil mix. Including the feeder house.

Mouses do not like diesel.
