Gleaned 4-30 question

they should tip forward--look underneath==put ram safety stop down first--and see if there are lynch pins holding it down at the rear of the snout. Remove and lift up. Black or late orange frame head should be the same.

430 black head- yes....look for the linch pins underneath. They fold forward, down in front....easy access for adjustments. 430 orange head- no.

You may find there are no clips in those pins where there should be...just rusted on tight! In any case, once you get them flipped, you'll find that they tend not to stay flipped up by themselves because of the way they pivot up toward the front so be careful not to knock yourself out in case they come slamming forward once you have your head in their!

My 6-30 came with no pins holding the snouts in place in back.

Been wondering if that is good or bad.

Been working without for 3rd year now, so I'm inclined to leave well enough alone.
