Ford 8N Dearborn picker

A picture of a test run with the corn picker and 8N. Moves right along-did not shell out TOO much. 😀.

The pigs love the cob corn - they seem to enjoy having a bit more to chew on/play with than just ground feed.

Look forward to picking the rest later this fall.

Looks great. Nothing better than picking corn. Keeping my eyes open for one just like yours to add to our collection of 1 and 2 Ford pickers.

I used to get a kick out of watching pigs play "keep away" with ears of corn. They seemed to enjoy the game too.

Cattle like whole ear corn too; they can bite down on those ears and break them up and chow down pretty fast when they have an opportunity. They were always contented to go out and glean a field after the corn was picked.

Dad had a Woods Bros. picker like that when I was a kid. Fun picker to use, you get to watch the ears rounding the turn from the husking bed to the elevator. I've thought it's too bad they didn't make a 2 row with the same set up.

I saw apicker like that at an auction yesterday. It looked like its been in the fencerow for 40 years. I didn't stick around to see what it brought.

That's the same exact thing i liked about them. That will be my biggest dissapointment when i try my mounted picker.
