Yesterday my renter cut 160 acres of beans on our farm...I think that these were planted in late May or early June....Due to all the rain some beans never got planted in this area...Some were planted as late as the end of July and they are far from ripe..
These were 36-42" tall and I'm guessing they made 35-40 bushels per acre..The low spots didn't have much as they drowned out...We have had less than 50% of normal rainfall here since mid August so they got hurt some....This morning we are getting light rain..
The combines are both 9770 JD's...I think one has a 35 ft header and the other a 30 ft header...The tractors are my 1953 E-5 Coop and my 1956 Cockshutt 40 Deluxe which isn't quite finished yet.
