I have an oil leak at the pto box, I am using a half gallon every six to eight hrs. It appears to be coming from the bell housing, I am assuming it is a seal. is this normal, is their a fix to get by until winter. I do not want to take this apart in the middle of harvest if I do not have to.

I'm no help on that color machine, but, ouch, its rough to see a big deal like that middle of the season. Hope it limps along for you.

Wife says the hydraulics are getting weaker and weaker on the TW20, for her tillage. See how long that lasts.

Its not the motor, as it is not using oil, but the hy tran oil in the pto box is, thank you for your reply

Pretty common problem on IH rotaries, usually start acting up around 3,000 hours. Usually the splined hub and shaft need replacing at the same time. I'd stick with Hytran, using other oils may create bigger problems.

There's been a lot of discussion over the years about this on Newagtalk - you might try using the search feature there. I first learned about this problem on NAT.
