My 7700 has started to overheat faster and faster over the last two weeks while doing beans. when i started season i could go all day without cleaning radiator out. now i can't even fill the bin. i have tried blowing it out with air comp. leaf blower etc. starting to get frustrated.

all seals appear to be in good shape. also belts and bearings are good. new this year. any input is much appreciated.

When you are blowing it out, you aren't getting it all the way clean. I have the same problem doing red clover with my Massey 750. The easiest way to blow it out is to remove the screen over the intake so you can get the air hose in and blow the dust on through. The best way is to work from the fan side and blow the dust back where it came from. That takes longer but does a better job. Go over the radiator slowly, making sure to hit every passage between the fins, then do it again and again. Each time you will push more dirt out. I find that it takes me about half an hour to get the majority of the dirt out.

At the end of the season, blow it out with your air hose, then go to the pressure washer. You want it really clean before the start of the next season so the dirt doesn't become glued in. Expect to spend half an hour or more with the air hose and another 15 to 30 with the pressure washer.

What year JD 7700> they had a different system for sucking the dirt off the rotary screen on the later ones and the old flat screen ones where just a PIAN to keep clean.

combine is newer style w rotary screen. spent two hours washing out rad. i am fairly certain it had not been done since 1976 haha. i got combine last year and never washed it very in depth. should be good to go.
