Plugged the 1680 again

Doing soybeans today trash builds up on the tail board and then backs up till it plugs the beater. Beans are dry and stems wet. Don't do a lot of beans but digging it out is getting old. Is it time to get the 715 out of retirement. Or is there a fix for the 1680

Doing beans with a 20 ft. 810 header. How slow can you go.

Tailboard? Where or what is that?

Are you are calling the angled plate at the end of the sieves a tail board. If so do you have one that is stationary or does it shake back and forth with the sieves?

Get one that moves with the sieves if this is where the problem lies. Those stationary ones never did work around here.

Yes that's where it is and it is a stationary one. Wasn't aware of one that moves, will have to check into that

Dad use to run a 20' head on his 715. Had the German diesel engine and did a good job at a respectable speed.
