jd 213 bean head popped apart

The curved metal plate that tucks in just behind the sickle bar has popped up out place on my head. Any tricks for getting it tucked back in?

I have a JD 213 and JD 216. I put stainless in the 213 and replaced the cutter bar on the 215. So, I have dealt with the flex sheets. You aren't the first person that the metal has popped out on. I have seen some heads that must be problematic as the owner(s) had welded some tabs on the backside of the cutter bar so the flex sheets would not come out entirely. If you could get a flat tire iron in between the sheet and the cutter bar and push back flexing the sheet you might get it so slip back under. Then continue across like putting a tire on a rim. I don't know if having the head up or having the head down would help or not. If the sheet won't flex then it might be easier to actually unbolt the back end of the sheet over unbolting the cutter bar and moving it forward. Good luck.

tire irons got the job done, with a six ft. bar and blocks under the cylinder to press it down. Thanks!
