Today I attended a farm sale 9 miles SW Of Ft Scott,Kansas...It was a sunny beautiful fall like day with temps in the mid 60's...Its getting very dry and we need a rain..I ran in to 7-8 people that I knew..3 of them live less than 5 miles from me..

Here are the results..

1-MF 205 combine sold for scrap for $250...It had been shedded but hadn't ran in several years..It was a pretty straight old combine..

2-3020 JD diesel with Dual loader sold for $9500.....This tractor was sold new to an ex neighbor that lived 1 mile south of me....It spent over 20 years in the neighborhood but ended up 35 miles away.....It used to look much nicer..

3-Model 60 JD tractor sold for $1250-has ran recently-good tires..

4-Model 50 JD tractor sold for $1700-has ran recently-new tires..

5-(6) old corn shellers sold from $10 to $62.50 each..

6-JD 430 baler sold for $2200...

7-1964 Ford F-350 sold for $800-ran nice-the 1983 Chevy to the left sold for $1000..

8-The view to the SW from this farm is fantastic-you could see for 7-8 miles..

9-An old school or church on the way home..

shame that combine went for scrap..was it knackered inside!!!all the working mechanisms all done in...!shamefull wast of a good machine.

It was decent...It had mainly done fescue..

Are you sure it went for scrap, at 30.00 dollars @ton he will loss money !

Scrap is $50-55 per ton here....I know the buyer well as 2 years ago I sold him 3 semi loads....He buys for a huge scrap yard 60 miles away that seems to get a premium price for scrap....A couple of years ago he paid $1500 for a 55 JD combine and $700 for a Massey 101 Junior tractor..

OK, There was a nice Mpls-Moline self propelled the one with the round grain tank that was nice too, and the scrap dealer knew he wasn't suppose to take it either. But they want the money so bad.

what ashame...it was in cherry shape hardly used.....thats what you have some people with no foresight, an organic guy would have used this...

There was a young farmer interested in it but he was scared of it as it hadn't ran in 2-3 years..The owner got hurt in a cattle accident and can no longer farm...Several of us collectors thought about buying it but my truck is broke down so I would have had to hire it hauled...Running ones go for $1000-1500 in my area..

Scrap here is $65.just sold some last week.

I had a MF 510. What a joke! Scrap is the best thing for a massey combine or Ford truck.

Shame for a combine of any kind like that to go for scrap . sure would like to find a baler like that .
