4400 steps

Trying to get the steps off the 4400. It has those pivot up steps. Does that pivoting shaft underneath have a half moon key? It won't slide out so its either that or I'm going to have to make the weirdest shaped puller...

Yes it has a key in it. Holds the little arm in place that hooks on to the spring to assist in swinging the steps up. Get the nut off and the key out and the steps will slide right off.
