Anyone still have one? Funtional? useing? My Dad had one.Remember the duals, chain drive, narrow 'H' tricycle steering 'axle',long curved seperator......Even got to drive it once. First selfpropelled IH combine.

My first real off the farm job at 12 was sewing sacks on an old 123 in red clover. I later bought the farm and it was in an old shed there. It was bought to harvest clover seed during the war, built in 1942. It had sunk in the dirt, the roof was bad on the shed. The wood was in bad shape, the inside was full of pack rat nests. I got the engine running, wheels painted and the original tires put back on with new tubes and holding air. I painted it and replaced the wood in the reel, belts all work. I have run it a little, never harvested with it because it needs some new wood inside. I sold it and it is being redone so it can harvest again. First self-propelled combine in the county. It was shipped with a pickup header, 8', never seen another like it, tooth pickup. It looks factory, looks like an old chopper pickup head....James

My Dads first SP combine was a well used 123 IH that he bought in 1959..This picture was taken in the summer of 1959 with me,Dad,and little brother on it..We used it until 1962 and then a neighbor bought it and used it for a few years..It had been updated to a 125..I have a 100% original non running 123 in the shed with duals, slide dump bin, tricycle rear, and canvas in the header..

Didn't you once say there was a 123 close to you in Colorado?
