F3 cylinder bars

need to replace the cylinder / thrasher bars in the combine. where is a good place to get them? apparently they must be hard to get for the F series or smaller Gleaners. don't cut a lot of acres so would like a good deal . I know they are high because of the reverse features.

One question to ask, Have you turned the cylinder bars yet ? A company named Poly-Tin sells Aushermen cylinder bars and the concave bars and I think there in Kansas. Bandit

I used trempe bars in the F3 I had, really made it a nice machine. not sure I spelled that right, located in Indiana.

rkc, if your located in ohio or close, I have a set of aushermans that are in used but excellent condition.

They are still listed on the Agco parts book site, regular spaced in both chrome and black, and wide spaced chrome. Had a set of Timpe bars in a M-3, if they were no better than the ones I had, wouldn't recommend them, they were soft and almost as high as Gleaner wide spaced.

I had a set of Timpte in an F and loved them but I like modified. Just brought home an L2 and priced a high inertia cylinder from PFP and I pretty sure I'll have a winter project. People have made parts for capacity over the last 30 yrs but your limited with the F series.

may be to far from you but Oakley combine in Oxford n.c. has or can get most any gleaner combine part,we bought a set of rebuilt hard faced cylinder bars a couple years back for our F3 from them sure made a difference in the way it handled green soybean stems
