L2 clean out

Getting the L2 home this week. I want to internally clean out the GMO soys because ours are non. I have 5 acres of buck wheat. Will this aid in a clean out or make a bigger mess? Any advice is appreciated.

Well if i understand your question, yes if u can thresh the buckwheat between the two types of beans, do it,drop your clean
grain, and the return elevator trap doors , and run the machine a bit, and use the air compressor, where ever you can,and open the trap door for the cylinder also. Do u have a door for the grain tank too, you can blew there too get the old crop out.

Sounds about like an organic delemma. Get the air compressor and a long hose, put on a dust mask, and crawl in. Get something to lay/sit when you are on the straw walkers (thicker than the bath towel I was always given!!). You are going to be itchy and dusty. You may also struggle to get it all out of the bin and auger depending. I have a JD 9500 so it is different - nearly impossible to get that bin empty. If it's really a big deal to you, clean it, then buy a bushel of the beans that tickle your fancy, dump them in the bin, and auger them out. They will push out any remaining "hanging chads". Swing the auger over the chicken or hog pen to unload it and you are done.

Everyone around here knows. When it is combine cleaning day stay away from the bathroom. I come running for the house, strip off my clothes outside, and make a bee line for the shower.

Why worry about a few beans. I'm sure your organic label beans have gmo cross pollen from your neighbors beans anyways. Part of the organic label myth, LOL.
