So im considering an F2. Its a diesel hydro model. What do I need to look at on these? What are the final drives like on them? The guy has 2 bin extensions stacked on top of it. Its got the manual fold auger which isn't ideal but I think I can manage with it, I don't have obstacles in my fields.

Does the straw chopper get removed for wheat leaving a windrow of does it slide of fold out of the way?

Tires look fairly new on it so that's a bonus. Has a 15' series 2 flex head and a 436 black corn head also.

The serial# is F38136HY what can you tell me about it from that if anything.

They had a hydro in the 77 short shoe model? Didnt know that.

If you are in 200bu corn the shoe will get overloaded, need to slow down. Other crops not such a big deal.

It would have the Allis 6 cylinder disel then, not the 4 cyl turbo engine.

In wet corn or other crops, be careful on piling the bin too full. It will take out the clean grain sprocket pin on the bottom right side. (It will make you scratch your head when that roll pin fails, and the chain is out of alignment but everything works until the bin gets full, then the slip clutch goes because it doesn't have enough tension because the pin broke out....) I agree the bin needs a little more height on the right side and front and back, but an entire 2nd extension is a bit much, 4-6 inches extra is accepted....

I got along fine with my varriable speed short shoe F2 fine.
