Gleaner E with flooding on starting attempts. I was just wondering how much time a 'flood' would take to clear. It has good spark, carb is working good and float is not stuck. Blew out all orifices in the carb bow. Tok out a spark plug and it is wet with fuel. I ran the combine without problems 6 mo ago. Fuel is good quality non ethanol contaiining.

Thanks

Not really related, but kind of. Our combine growing up was a Massey Super 92. From as long as I can remember we always had to start it with the gas off so it didn't flood. When she started you jumped off and went and opened the valve. That Chrysler was a side draft engine, though.

With this new fuel blend you need to either take the plugs out and hit them with the torch to burn off the additives or put in new plugs altogether.
