Has anyone ever seen a DT466 engine(in 1660 combine)fluctuate oil pressure about 5 psi at high idle at operating temperature? We checked with a manual gauge along with the dash gauge, and both were about the same.We pulled the oil pressure regulator and inspected it,but it looked fine-no scratches, not sticking,o ring ok.Oil pressure was around 65 psi at hi idle, and oil is clean. It did not fluctuate like this last fall.
Also there are 2 senders on right rear, one one is for the light, the other has 2 terminals-what is it for?The gauge sender is on left side about the middle of the block.Mark

Just a guess but these engines are hard on rod bearings and crank. Maybe one rod bearing getting ready to fail? Post on ih board and specifically ask opinions of tractor vet.

The two terminal switch cuts power to the electric over hydraulic header control to prevent dropping the header on someone/ something when the engine is not running and not producing hydraulic pressure.

Chech the oil psi before the filters this will give u a good place to start also try different filters what brand of oil are u running I overhauled a truck one time for fs they used their oil could not get the rings to seat switched to rotella after a few weeks it quit using oil
