F2 Gleaner unloading auger swivel

Saw too much of the ball bearings when the unloading auger was out, so I've taken it off to look. Here's what I've got.

This one has good edges at the top and a worn outside edge on the bottom of the pic. It's the outer ring.

This is the inner ring with good edges.

Here's the inner ring with a worn edge.

Doesn't look like terrible wear on the rings to me. Ball bearings look bad to me.

I know some of you have had experience with this. Tell me your opinion on what to do to fix it.

I took my son's and welded up the worn out places and grooved it back out with a side grinder. Worked for a good long while, then he bought a new setup.

Definitely get rid of those pitted balls. They want to grind on the rails with every move. That system counts on grain dust to lubricate it. The problem comes from the big enemy of combines- setting out, and getting wet- then rust ensues.

Call Oakley combines in NC. That is where my son got all his Gleaner parts from including the new parts you need.

Found a fix on another forum and thought I would try it. Since my ball bearings were pitted and worn, I put new balls in and used 13 mm, since I had some wear on the races. Think I could see a difference in size between mine and the new, larger ones. Think I'm going to like them.
