3300 motor in 3020

I know a 3300 and 2520 have the same diesel motor. A friend told me I could easily put the same motor in a 3020. Is that possible? If so what would it entail to adapt? He said it wouldn't be hard and to just bump the pump up to give the extra few horses.

Adapting that engine into a 3020 is a complicated project. Try posting this over on the John deere section, and you will get more responses. It has been discussed there before... searching for "3020 repower" might yield quite a few results.

The engine out of your 3300 would be a nice upgrade for a 2510/2520 gas tractor and would be a lot easier to change over.
