Need some some ideas on flushing a hydrostat

Sent a sample of hydrostat oil in. Results came back high copper, recommend oil change and resample in half normal interval. This was the first time I had sampled it in 1700 hours/ since it was new.

So instead of just getting what I can out I would like to clean it up good and remove all the contaminated oil. I have no failure or diminished performance.

I think there is a rear wheel assist motor going bad causing the high copper.
Thanks Tom

I'm not sure what the copper itself is actually hurting, and what good flushing it out will do without figuring out if it is the pump or one of the hydro motors shedding brass from it's "slippers" or "commutators".

As long as the unusual wear continues, you are getting closer to a failure, and metal will continue to get in the new oil, even after a flush.

Do you have the particle count results? The copper, measured in PPM, is an indicator of wear, the particle count, measured in microns, is an indicator how dirty the fluid is.
I don't know if you are using Deere Hygard in your system but the oil additives will etch copper and will promote earlier failures. The etched copper shows up in your sample as high Cu PPM.

Flushing....drain the tank and refill. Run it and do it again.
