10 bolt rim for Gleaner K2

I picked up an extra 10-bolt rim for my Gleaner K2 the other day to have as a spare that I can mount an extra 16.9x26 tire on. Never know when some of this old rubber than I'm running could go! I noticed the dish on this rim is 17 inches across (I was told it had an 18.4x26 on it and would work fine for my 16.9x26 as well.) But I measured my existing 10-bolt rim and it looks like it's actually more like 15 inches across. So before I spend the $ to try mounting this 16.9x26 on the 17" dish, can anyone tell me if this will work?

16.9 is 15 inches at the bead, two inches narrower than the rim. Can safely go an inch wider or narrower than the rim, using old size tire markings. Also, the rim center may not be welded in the right location....usually not centered, but is offset so you can reverse wheels. Clearance to the machine may be an issue.

Also, which direction will the tire be mounted on the rim...may have to run tread backward if wrong side tire goes bad. Or, wait with mounting to see which you need. BTW, I had rims widened by 10 inches to run 28Lx26 on my F2. You could also narrow the rim by cutting a slice out of it. But again, pay attention to where the center dish needs to be, laterally.
