Saw this on another board. Thought some

I would give both of my arms and SWMBO's favorite cat to have that combine or that truck. Seems to me there was a story about those that I read somewhere, maybe here. They know where they were and what the story was.

WOW! what a 'time capsule! Looks like they got home from harvest, shut off the key and walked away....

Looks like the one we drive by at least a couple of times a year on Oklahoma highway 132 south of Manchester, OK. Been there for more than 15 years for sure. It has become a landmark. Hope it stays.

Looks like it's been moved recently since there isn't any tall grass around or under the truck...

If any one is still around that hauled combines this way, I would like to talk with you if possible. I so wonder just how you got the machine unloaded with the steering axel dangling ?? I don't see how you could back up to a dock. I have a big interest in trucks and equipment, especially from back at that time. I always wanted to go out there and work the harvest with that type of equipment but never did, I don't think the old 40 Hudson would have made the trip and where in the world would I get the money for gas >> You know gas cost about 19 cents a Galen. LOL Any way if any one would like to talk to an old retired truck driver that lives in Florida then please call me 813 782 0352 any time late evening is best
