6600 air conditioning

so I had a bit of a disaster with my 6600 ac cutting triticale the other day I had replaced the compressor before wheat harvest and it worked fine the whole time. the other day I was whacking away at the triticale and I heard a line blow so I shut the ac off right away and just ran the cab fan and my lighter fan but when I quit for the day I thought I would check the damage. the bolt that holds the hose manifold on the compressor failed and the hoses blew off the compressor. so I ran most of the day with the system opened up and it got a lot of dust in it. I was wondering if there is any hope for the compressor or is it shot. what are the odds of getting it cleaned out enough to work again. I figured I would take it off and try to clean it out and flush the lines. A really strange failure though I have never seen that happen before the threads in the compressor seem fine like the bolt threads sheared off. I would appreciate any advice thanks guys and wish me luck

I would think you could easily clean it out and be fine. It was not running so blow across the top of the holes at a90 degree angle so that there is a vacuum effect on the bolt hole. Then use a spray cleaner in the hole after you blow it out the first time. then blow out the cleaner while it is wet. Then vac the system back down and recharge. You should be good to go.

Some of them were standard and some metric threads on those compressors .May have wrong bolt and it did not hold under pressure.
