M2 - What year is it?

I have a Gleaner M2, type 582615, serial 2197, engine 2900, 649T, serial 4024341 / 2D82153.

Anyone know what year this is?

Many thanks,

Mike

That low serial number would make it an early M2. Does it have a white stripe around the bin where the lettering is? Is the steering wheel suspended to its right side rather than from a centre column? I would guess a 1977 or earlier if it has these features.

Thanks centash.

M2 Gleaner is inside of the black strip, AC is on the inside of the white strip. Steering wheel is on center console and drops forward/back. Turn signal lights are mounted on the inside of the bin. I'm told it was the newer style, but I don't know how to tell what year it is.

Thanks again.

Mike

The dump shoot in the bin rises and has rods that push the bin extensions up, they are solid sheet metal.

Thanks,

Mike

If it has those, then it is later than 1978. Are you sure there is only 4 digits in the serial number?

Ben

Sorry out there to all that has been trying to help me on this, the numbers I provided were for an M that I had previously.

I went out and checked everything and here is what I found:

M2 side plate under engine ladder: M-K22520H
Inside cab: Model L, serial 1889
Engine plate: 649T, serial 49-16051 Cat. # 4007450

Any help on identifying the year would be appreciated.

Best,

Mike
