Hume Reel Question

The IH 82 combine that I have has a Hume reel. The machine operator manual doesn't have any info on it, which kind of makes sense as it was supplied by another company. It appears to have some possible adjustments and I'd like to learn more about it. Anyone seen a separate OM for Hume reels? Or can describe what adjustments are possible? I can post some pictures of what the reel looks like, if there are variations between Hume reels.

Really the only adjustment is the "kickback' of the teeth. It usually is a series of holes in the arm that holds the arm the reel pivots on. They would be in an arc. Moving this changes the cam action of the reel. It will either keep the reel flat or make it have more kick. The other adjustments would be the same as a bat type reel: in and out and up and down in relation to the sickle.

IF you have the manual on just about any newer combine that had the Hume reel from the factory you can use it to show you the adjustments. Just about all the combine companies other than MF used the Hume reel for years.
