Gleaner E cornhead on a K2?

I have a Gleaner E here that I have been piddling with in my spare time for a guy to use as a plot combine. I happened across a really nice K2 hydro with a/c and mentioned it to him and he decided that was a better way to go as it also has a more modern setup for weighing and record keeping for plot work than the E has. Unfortunately the K2 does not have any heads and someone told him that the cornhead off the E would work on the K2. I'm no Gleaner man but I thought that the Gleaner cornheads were pretty model specific but I told him I would find out for sure. Also the E may end up being for sale and I will pass on more details once he decides that for sure. Thank you all for the information in advance.

The throat size between those combines is identical. But the lift/latch hooks are different. You can work around that. The biggest challenge is the drive is different, and not so easy to work around. There should be enough black corn heads around set up for a K2, that would be the way to go.
