Are there any parts that will interchange between these two machines? I know the 25 is a "true" Oliver and the 525 comes from Cockshutt heritage but did anything interchange? I have a 25 with a two row wide cornhead that needs some pieces to make it operational again and have located a 525 parts machine with a 3-30 head. Any help will greatly appreciated.

That is what I was afraid of. Thanks for the reply. It never fails. People call offering things that will not work with anything that one already has. Often times it is too good a deal to pass up so now you end up with a parts machine or something you don't need and still on the look out for what you needed in the first place. Does anybody need a 525 parts machine? It was used as the corn machine up until the 80's sometime when it was parked outside. It is located in south central Illinois. I can probably get anyone in touch with them. I haven't seen the machine so I know nothing about it's condition. I'm betting not very good. However if there is value, I would hate to see it scrapped.

I don't have my literature in front of me as the model but I already have a 2 row wide head on my 25. I think the head is actually in better shape than the rest of my machine is. I don't think a 25 has enough capacity to handle a three row in low gear with todays corn. I am pretty sure the one on the 525 is going to be pretty rough but I don't know. The owner's manual that I got with my machine said that the head fit the 25, 35, and 40. It seemed like it took less modifications to fit the 25 than the other two.

How would a person find out about the 3 row narrow corn-head to fit the 525 combine? I found a 525 that was stored in a hayloft for the past 25-30 years. I bought it from the original owners estate and have all of the original owners and parts manuals. It came with three heads. Pictures will be posted later. This combine has always been in a wooden shed or barn. We have not attempted to start it yet.
