I heard thru the grape vine of a round back with the 4 cylinder gas with both heads barn keep that I can get my hands on cheap I was told it was a 35 I asked if it was the 45 they said it was a 35 didn't know the made a 35

There was not a 35. There was a model 25 pull-type combine. The 4 cylinder options would be either a model 40 or 45 self propelled.

I had never heard of a 35 wasn't sure if it was a odd model I'm gonna try to get out there over the weekend an see it myself already got my mind set on buying the old girl an adding her to the barn with my ih tractors

JD did make a 35. It was a pull type combine downsized from the No 36 they acquired from Caterpillar in the mid 30s. However, I would wager the guy just isn't remembering right and the combine in question is a 45.

JD did not make a 35, as far as I know, but OLIVER did. Both were green, and you know how some people assume if it's green, it's Deere. They forget about the GOOD green!

Yes they did make a 35 Hillside from 1937-1942. 12 or 14 foot cut with 24 inch cylinder. This is from Volume One of John Deere Tractors and Equipment 1837 to 1959.

I stand corrected... (Sheepish) ;)... I'm betting that 35 hillside had a 4 cyl flathead engine too??
