The gasket for the swing-back unloading auger of my JD 55 is "shot". Any reasonable source of new one or materials to fabricate one? Thanks again. kelly

Gasket? I have never seen a "gasket" there.Maybe you can use a piece of inner tube if you think you need a "gasket".

In the past I have used a piece of heavy duty carpet padding and use double sided tape to hold it on to the flange. Just buy a yard and cut it to fit and if its got a wide gap use 2 pieces of it. Hay it works and its cheep. Bandit

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Cut a round of oats today, but had to stop as too many green kernels in it. Predicting rain for next eight days has me worried, but can't do what I can't do. PS got my carb. off, cleaned by mechanic, replaced, lubed and freedup linkages and engine seem to run pretty well. Also got new belts on. Previous owner replaced mechanical fuel pump on engine with electrical one in same general vicinity. Always trouble priming that one. I added elec. pump under gas tank and it seems no problem now. Of course my rusty green John Deere is beginning to look much more like a Gleaner due to all the duct tape. Thanks again. :)kelly
