Last Saturday I attended a sale in Genoa, CO that had several antique combines including this S with a square bin and spoked wheels, two MM G-4's, a MH 21 Canvas machince, a Case 960, IH 141, MH 90's, and a JD 55 Hi/Lo. All the combines went to scrap except the S which I bought and the 21 which a customer cutter from Burlington, CO bought. All brought from $275-500.

Does anyone know how many S's were made with the square bin before they switched to the round one?

Someone on this site has serial #1, I think it has a round bin. It sold in MO, SW of Kansas City afew years back.

Lance, thanks for the pictures and sale results..Congrats on the purchase of your square bin S MM..I don't know how long that square bin S MM's were built but there are only a very few in existence..My MM should be gravity dump but was converted for an unloading auger....I believe that yours is only the 3rd square bin S MM that I know about...

The top picture is mine #250001 and the bottom picture is a dandy early S MM that sold in 2008 in Nebraska...I have no idea where it went to...It was on a MM collectors sale that had lots of nice stuff..I hope that a collector got it..

Blain, Thank you for posting the pic of Serial # ONE. I have been waiting for a few pictures of it to appear on here. The old girl still looks good. The photos bring back memories. For your information, We have pictures of it combining fescue in S W Mo. about 25? yrs ago. That was a great feeling to have # one up and running. clint
