Guys don't shoot me yet, but I am looking at putting a green 920 head on a 78 model M2. Deere dealer made me a deal I couldn't pass up. I have a flat wore out LM18 head i can use for parts for adapting it, but does anyone have any tips on going this direction. I fought with the gleaner head for years and never got it to feed correctly. From what I've seen the Deere head is quite a bit better in that department. I found an adapter for a Deere head to IH rotary. Can I take the IH adapter and weld the attachment points from my Gleaner head to it? Does anyone have the correct adapter? Also going to need to find a hydraulic self contained unit to run the reel.
Thanks
Adam
