I am trying to find a rigid head and a 238 for a K I just bought. It has a flex head but in kinda rough shape. any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you"re looking for heads, it will help to learn the correct terminology....chances are you do not have a flex head...no K has the electro/hyd to run it. You have a floating cutterbar. They work fine for beans but are old technology, will lose more beans than a flex head. A rigid head will lose more beans than a FCB. Even older technology.

JM I am in Ga but depending on where it is I may go get it or pay freight. This is all new to me. All I know is using a rigid head so thats why I want to use what I know. Just piddle with small acreage. Thanks for both of your imput.

If you are doing beans, even just a small acreage, I would suggest learning a floating/ flex head would be a really pleasant and rewarding job.

It takes very few acres to pay for the price difference between the two on an old used basis..... Even considering rebuilding with some new
parts.
