I like old combines just as well as anyone else who likes old machinery, but if that combine has enough hours on it to require an engine overhaul its probably worn enough to be a candidate for retirement. Good score, by the way.

Looks good......but, a guy can't save them all. At least the motor will give something else new life.

Best of luck with the motor.

I"d strip all the hydraulics and elec stuff before the smelter gets it, including power steering stuff. Also magnetic clutch pulleys- they"re worth a grand new. Won"t lose much weight, but the "nummy shelf" in your shop gains a lot of valuable parts. I"ve got several thousand worth on my shelves that didn"t cost me but 2-300 when I had a nearby yard that allowed stripping. Sold some at a good profit.
