Guessing game

Kitties were birthed in the woodburner shed a couple of weeks ago....we thought they were lost to predator critters. Mama moved them inside the combine, where we could hear them. Likes to sneak around the shop and we see her come out of strange places. Hope she keeps all five in the litter.

If she is that good at keeping a litter of nice kittens she has to be a good mouser too. My best cat burrowed in a feed bag full of twine that was destined for the burn pile. Guess I will have to wait a while yet.

Beautiful mama and litter! Good cats are nice to have around. By "good" I mean good hunters, friendly, and don't lay on the vehicles too much. (Our vehicles are old so I give our herd a "pass" on that one!)

Don't forget to deduct the cat food as a farm expense. It's deductible as pest control. Taxman said it was allowed in tax court several years ago. She has a nice brood. Thanks.

Great picture! We have always had farm cats and I am a animal lover. About the last 10 years or so we have always spayed them because it seemed two cats would turn into 30 real quick!! Sometimes there wasnt enough love then. Ryan

Milked cows for 30 years, til "01...record cat population that showed up at the dish was 23.....yes, they are a necessary part of farm life. I remember once when population was low due to distemper...gave them shots....cow laid on one. I guess the shot didn"t help! You gotta love kitties, and puppies!

Cute picture...Last Fall the cat that belongs to a neighbor across the road had her kittens in my 40 JD combine.....A few weeks later I bought a Super W6TA McCormick diesel tractor in Oklahoma....I had a front tire separate so changed it right after loading the tractor...Under the spare tire were her 2 kittens.....We hauled them the 200 miles back home and they are big cats now..
