Ford/Woods Bros. concave bars

I bought that old Ford 16-47 combine two years ago and I have gotten it running but the concave bars and the sheet metal that holds them are rotten. I know I am going to have to fabricate the sheet metal and it looks like I will have to make the concave bars too. There isnt much left of the originals to get the dimensions on the width and height. They look just like small pieces of channel iron. Is that pretty much all they are? Thank you for all your help.

I have a Dearborn Wood Bros. 16-23, but i don't know how close it is to yours. According to my parts book
they do just look like channel iron, maybe 1" wide, 3/8" tall? There are 5 on mine, however, the thing
that irritates me about these books is they do not give any dimensions on anything except the darn bolts!
:( Removing them doesn't look like much fun, but i haven't tried it. I guess as long as you make them all
the same height? I'm just getting started on mine, so i don't know a whole lot yet.

Weigh them carefully and adjust to the same weight. It will shake that combine to pieces if the cylinder isn't balanced. I'd be tempted to weld the old ones to build them up if they have a rasp profile like regular combine bars.

Gleaner uses a channel style bar, but they are not standard size channel. However, if you change all of them, it works fine. I made mine out of standard size mild steel.
