I just sold my LII last year. Had it for 22years. Very good machine. Mine had the big engine and the short shoe.
Before I had a massey 510 with 20ft head. Had to mark the tire to tell it was moving. Took at least seven days to cut 200 acres of wheat. The gleaner with 24ft head took three to four days.

I have done all three crops with the rasp in my M3, no need to change cylinders. Having said that, the spike will do a nicer job in edible beans rather than soys. You will notice a greater amt. of fuel used per acre(heavier machine plus hydrostatic I'm guessing) but the capacity increase plus larger bin size will be a godsend in a tough season. Went from an F2 to an M3
