I use a 922 head (dang shed door). My amber light arms are back so I don't hook them on tree limbs and things. They are for transport I assume. With a header like that it doesn't really matter where the end is - you are taking up the whole road!

IF your JD 925 head is still wired like it was from the factory the amber swing away lights only come on when you have the light switch in the road transport position. Several states require that the extremities of equipment be marked with lights. There are several IDIOTS around here than move with 25-30 foot headers on the combine. 12 and 16 row corn headers too.

About as useful as the height guage with the red ball on the far right side. I was real careful and I still ended up bending it on a gate in no time. All those nannies and switches and I'm relying on a red ball in a slide?

I assume they put that on the 925 as well? Mine has been on the farm since it was a year old (9500). Maybe yours was long gone by the time you got it.

I hate to think how many 1000s of miles I roaded my gleaner R65 and 27' head lol. Always hated when one of those lights slid around while roading at night because it would really flash in your eyes!!
