If I remember correctly, they were made in the late 60's, the
following series was the "senator" follower by the "dominator",
had a neighbour in the UK with one when I was a kid, his had
a Perkins engine...

Knowing Claas, I bet parts are still available if your cheque
book is big enough (I run an 83 dominator 106 and parts are
still available for it, might have to get them out of Germany
though).

That's a good sized combine but a narrow stance. It would
make me a little nervous on uneven ground or transporting to
the field.

Are we the only ones that traditionally use a straw spreader?
You don't see many combines from other countries with a
beater or chopper on the back. They must have a bigger
market for straw than we do. Even when I bale straw I still run
it through the chopper. I just cut it high and then go in and
recut with the moco and rake it.

Growing up in the west of England, I can say that there is a big market for straw, I've seen barley straw make over $100 per acre, and there is usually a time limit on getting it hauled off too.

Provide the serial number, and I'll try to help. Regards,
