1979 K2 Gleaner Sells For $15,000

A 1979 K2 Gleaner with 565 hours and both heads recently sold for $15,000...Also a 4420 JD needing some work sold for $23,000....Check them out on Machinery Petes site..You will have to scroll down a little on each side to see them.

That is a great question!! What was the price of this base K2 and then the heads back in good ol 1979?? Does anyone know? Ryan

Dunno about the K2, but in "76, my cousin and I bought a 1970? (or 72?- white Laporte cab) K with 238 head, 13 foot bean table with a Love floating cutter bar, and a Melroe pickup unit, for 12 grand. Had the grain tank extension, so it held 100 bu. Priced an F a later, said depending how it"s decked out, about 20 grand.

I looked in a couple of old NFPEDA price guides I have and the MSRP in 1977 was $18709. The last list price which I think was 1981 was $33800.
