510 massey combine header

looking for a grain header for my 510 I just bought. came with a corn head but I wanna plant some beans this year also. what other heads other than massey will work any ideas?

Check with Skorpiks in Tyndall SD. 30 miles west of Yankton. Last I was by there they had oodles of Massey heads.

Personally I wouldn't fool around trying to adapt another make of head unless you cannot find a good M-F head. The M-F heads work very well, the only real minus is the lack of a built in floating bar. They work well as well as any ridged head with an add-on floating bar but it just plain is not the same as a floating head. Other than normal wear and tear items the lone trouble prone area we had was the wobble box. Loosen the belt and grab the pulley, perceptible movement = needs new input shaft bearing & seal and your good for a season or two if you keep the knife in good shape. I believe the later heads had some improvements in the wobble box but that is going from (bad) memory.
