JD 6620 throttle linkage

Ok guys. I just bought this 2100 hour 6620 and the throttle leaver is loose it will not hold in any position. How do I get the console apart to get it tight? Besides that it needs a bearing on the cylinder drive and the AC charged. It seems to be a really good machine so far. So going from a MF 300 to this, I'm pretty happy.

follow linkage from pump should be a way to tighten it under the hood

I think you can remove four screws in each corner of the lever box and you can get to the linkage that way. I will have to look at mine and let you know. It has been a while since I have been into the linkage.

Here is a parts break down. You may just need to tighten the nut up on the lever pivot. It has the friction washers on it.

Used a bungee strap hooked to the bottom right of the shift pattern on our 7720s for years!

That's what I'm doing now. I'd like to fix it though.
