I was standing at a local auction today and a older gentleman came up and asked me if I would be interested in his old combine. He has a 105 hydro diesel. It hasn't been used in a couple years but does have a parts machine. Am I crazy to think about buying it to tinker with since it's close to home? Only reason I'm thinking about it is because its a hydro and I assume that's getting to be a hard to find machine.

Go for it. There were only a few hydros on 105s around here despite them being popular. Plenty of guys that wished they would have bought one back in the day. I don't think they are rare but getting hard to find yes.

Where are you located as I might be interested if you are not. We have a 105 gas that we hope to put a diesel in this summer but a hydro would be neat. Tom

I agree with the others who have said buy it. I ran one of them when I first started custom harvesting. If you or the others interested on this discussion don't buy it I would certainly have interest. I'm in Kansas and would travel a little ways to get it home. My number is 785 four five two 13 six five. For the gentleman wanting to switch out his gas for a diesel. I have a rough 105 with a good diesel. Might consider selling off the engine.

What's to think about? If the price is right buy it! Not many times in your life dose something fall into your lap like this so buy it. If you don't like it you can sell it easy enough cause there are plenty of us that would love to have one! Bandit
