Interest in old McCormick Deering Combines #22, #31-T, #3...

I am wondering if any of you are interested in
these old combines-harvester-thresher or have have
one in working order, How rare are they?

My neighbor has a 31T. It was parked in a coulee during WW II to prevent it from being found and scrapped. Even though it has set outside its whole life, its not in bad shape. All the belts are still on it and the header is folded up for transport. Everything is seized up of course but nothing is missing. I would say any of these old galvanized pull type combines are getting rare by the day due to scrapping because there used to be a lot of them around here.

With more and more small acreage, i would think these would be worth a second look. I am trying to get one going myself. There is a auction in Spangle WA this weekend, and they got a Alis Chalmers all crop there, i wish i could go, but i have to work, and besides, i have no way to transport it, but i'd love to have it.
:)

The 31-T is the designation for a spike tooth cylinder. There used to be quite a few 31-RD's that designated a rasp bar cylinder, in our area of ND. My uncle had one. I think that they all went into scrap after new combines became available after WWII.

Our neighbors had an IH pull type when I was kid. This was right after World War 2. It had a 42 inch cut. What model would that have been?

I can get some pics. Might take awhile since I have to get permission and the combine is a ways off the road. North central Montana near the border north of Shelby.
