Pull type combine wanted

I am looking for a pull type combine with a platform header to direct cut small grains. A corn head would be a bonus. Massey 851, John Deere 7701/ 7721/ 6601/ 9501, International 1482/ 1682/ 914 are all considered. Other similar sized machines will be considered as well. Thank you.

You wont want a corn head on a pull type. You run over too much just getting openings made. There should be plenty of pull types in the northern plains grain belt and Canada.Look on 'Tractor House'

Lots of pull type combines in that area - but most of them will have pickup headers instead of straight cutting headers.

I don't think you will have too much luck in finding direct cut grain head or corn head for a pull type of this size. That being said , no reason you couldn't adapt a conventional head to the off set needed for a pull type. I run a 851 MY with a pick-up and find it works well. Local Mennonite folks like them , and I have seen a JD with corn head. As Delta said, outside rows can get tramped. So easy solution is plant the outside rounds to grain or hay. I always do this with corn I am going to chop with my pull type forage harvester, no big deal. Bruce

I use a 1965 Case 400 pto machine just for giggles each year. Have self propelled machines also but fun to use this one. It is very quiet and smooth running.
