Gleaner K2 - Air Conditioning add-on possible?

Can air conditioning be added on to a Gleaner K2 that did [i:8cba74f383]not[/i:8cba74f383] come from the factory that way? If air conditioning can be added, what might the cost be to do so? The combine in question has a 4-cylinder A.C. Diesel engine.

Also, any idea on the ballpark value for a 1978 Gleaner K2? Diesel, hydraulic swing-out auger, no air conditioning, less than 600 original hours, one owner, and purportedly immaculate. The machine has a 10-ft. solid grain head and a 3-row corn head.

Finally, does anybody want to guess how long Gleaner parts will be available for said machine?

Thanks in advance.

An F2 (Or 3) has the same cab/engine configuration so it should be a bolt on. Value?? Here you can't give them away, too small etc. An F series in that condition would bring 10k if it has the series 3 flex head.

Forgot to add about parts. A lot of parts are common to the F2/F3 and are still readily available. There are, however, some K2 specific items like shafts, sieves, etc. that are no longer available from AGCO. A&I has filled some of the gaps in with aftermarket and I know that Ausherman aftermarket cylinder and rasp bars were still available as of 2014 from VH polytin.

It sounds like a great combine for a small farmer. I
cant believe Air conditioning was not a standard
feature with a cab!! That would be a bear in wheat
around here. Ryan

check with Oakley combine Oxford n.c. they can answer your questions they rebuild small and large gleaners probably got the parts or used cab
